Nestled on the border between Maastricht and (Belgian) Kanne, Château Neercanne is a 17th-century gem. It’s the only terraced castle in the Netherlands, and home to a Michelin-starred restaurant. For the Oostwegel family, owners of the castle and Oostwegel Collection as a whole, a long-held dream will finally come true: to create luxurious suites within this historic estate.

Under the guidance of interior designer Roelfien Vos, each of the seven exclusive suites will feature a unique blend of modern design and timeless classical details, all while reflecting the château’s rich heritage and stunning surroundings.

But transforming an historic château into a modern haven of luxury is no simple task. During the renovations in 2023, visitors were kept informed with exclusive video updates, offering a glimpse into the challenges faced when creating these suites. When all the work was finalised, we created a short documentary of this ambitious renovation project.
